A training program aims at making changes in the skills, knowledge and behavior of participants.


Knowledge can be acquired through explanation by a trainer or book author. It can be measured through direct questioning as well as usage in problem solving.


A skills is something that a person can perform. The proficiency of carrying out a specific activity can be measured to determine skill level of the person performing such activity.

Skills can be acquired through observation and imitation and are can be improved through repeated practice.


Perceptions and behaviors are the most difficult thing to change in a person. A change in perception usually results in a change in behavior.

Perceptions and behaviors can be changed in a participant through experiential learning, anecdotes and retrospection.
