Seminar: Environment Forum

  • Presentation included new information.
  • Some of the informaiton presented was exciting.
  • Images in the PowerPoint presentation were engaging and demonstrative.
  • Many real life examples supporting the main concept behind the seminar were presented.

  • The presenter was monotonous.
  • The presenter was not moving nor even standing but was sitting in a chair.
  • The PowerPoint presentation included too many slides several of which were jam packed with text.
  • The audience were not approached to think through (questions paused by the presenter for instance) but rather were treated as containers into which a monotonous and sequential queue of information was dumped.
  • Poor eye contact.

The topic of the seminar was interesting, so were many facts and examples presented in it and the photos in the PowerPoint were engaging yet the monotony of the speaker, the information dumping technique he used, his lack of interaction with the audience and low energy turned the otherwise interesting seminar into a near-complete bore.
